The Liver Function Test (LFT) panel includes enzymes (AST/SGOT, ALT/SGPT, ALP) and proteins like bilirubin and albumin. It screens for hepatitis, fatty liver, alcohol‑related injury, drug toxicity, and bile obstruction. LFT also supports therapy monitoring for chronic conditions. Some medications and supplements can alter results; inform your clinician. Fasting is not always necessary. LFT is frequently paired with ultrasound or viral markers when clinically indicated.
